Crime Victim Compensation
The Court of Claims has decided claims for compensation under the Crime Victims Compensation Act (740 ILCS 45). The published volumes contain the opinions the Court chose to print, usually cases that settled a question of eligibility, timing or the amount of an award.
Individual crime-victim opinions are searchable on this site but are deliberately excluded from search-engine indexing, and this page shows totals only.
